Does Criminal Attorney Advertising Really Work?

If you ever need a Seattle criminal attorney you quickly realize one thing – there are a lot of them out there. And you’ll also quickly realize that it is extremely hard to tell which are the good ones and which are the bad ones. In fact, when your case is done, you may not have a feeling one way or the other. That’s kind of the nature of a service based business (for example, that’s how I feel when I’m with the car mechanic – I have no idea if I paid the right amount or if they did a good job – I’m just happy the car runs).

One of the easiest ways to get people to know you are out there is to advertise. Sometimes the advertising is aimed at getting clients to pick up the phone and call you. Sometimes it’s aimed at just getting your name out there. Whatever the reason, the point is that it eventually gets people to your door so you can help them.

For me, the hardest thing is figuring out what you, the client, are looking for when you look for a criminal attorney. For example, does it matter that I look younger than what you might expect? Is the selection process that high level, or do people pare down looking for more, looking for experience and good client service?

And the problem is that I see different levels of client service that remain successful. To me a criminal lawyer should be there to answer all of your questions no matter what. But some of the criminal attorneys I know are racing to the bottom, doing only the bare minimum to get a case resolved. That’s okay if that’s what people want, but I have no idea what people want.

I think moving forward I am going to continue to advertise. And I think it’s more than just part of doing business. I think it’s part of creating and running a successful business. I have to let people know we exist, and that’s one of the ways it can be done.
